We kindly request that you thoroughly read this Privacy Policy. It explains how your information is handled when you use our App. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy is provided by Calify Ltd ("Calify," "our company," "we," "us," or "our"). It applies to [App Name] (the "App"), a two-factor authentication (2FA) utility that generates one-time verification codes (TOTP/HOTP) on your device to help you sign in to services that support two-factor authentication.
We built the App with privacy as a core principle. The verification codes and account secrets you add are stored only on your device.
To generate your codes, the App stores the following only in local storage on your device:
The names of the services/issuers you add (e.g., "Google," "GitHub");
The account labels or usernames you assign to each entry;
The secret keys used to generate one-time codes.
We do not upload, transmit, back up to our servers, or otherwise access this information. There is no cloud sync. If you delete the App, reset your device, or lose your device, this data may be permanently lost (see our Terms of Use regarding backups and recovery codes).
With your permission, the App uses your device camera to scan QR codes when you add a new account. The camera is used solely for this purpose. Scanned images are processed on-device and are not stored or transmitted. You may also enter setup keys manually instead of using the camera.
The App does not require you to create an account or register to use it. If you contact us directly (for example, by email for support), we will receive the information you choose to share, such as your email address and the contents of your message.
To provide, maintain, and improve the App, we use third-party services that may automatically process limited technical and usage data. This may include:
Device brand and model, operating system and version, and App version;
Language and region settings;
General (non-precise) location inferred from your IP address;
IP address;
Crash logs and diagnostic data;
Aggregated, non-identifying usage and interaction events.
Importantly, these services do not have access to your 2FA secrets or generated codes. Because the App has no user accounts, the data above is generally not linked to your real-world identity.
We work with reputable third-party providers that process certain data on our behalf or to deliver their own features:
Google Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics) — analytics and crash reporting;
RevenueCat — subscription and in-app purchase management;
Apple and Google — app distribution, in-app purchases, and platform services.
Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them, including:
Google (Firebase): https://policies.google.com/privacy
RevenueCat: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
We do not sell or rent your personal data.
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Calify, our users, or others.
We operate globally, and the third-party services we use may process data in countries other than your own. Where applicable, appropriate safeguards are used to protect your data in accordance with relevant data protection laws.
Depending on your jurisdiction (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Because your 2FA data is stored only on your device, you have full control: you can edit or delete entries directly in the App, or uninstall the App entirely. For any data handled by our third-party providers, contact us at support@calify-ai.com and we will assist as required by applicable law.
We and our providers use industry-standard measures to help protect data. Your on-device 2FA data is further protected by your device's own security features. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The App is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
