This Privacy Policy explains how Calify LTD (“we,” “us,” or “our”) may collect, use, and share information when you use TV Cast (the “App”).
By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and you consent to the processing of your personal data as described here.
When we say “personal data” (or “personal information”), we mean information that can identify you directly or indirectly.
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the App (“Users”). Where applicable (including under the GDPR), we act as the data controller for the processing described in this Privacy Policy.
We collect information from or about you from different sources, as described below.
2.1 Data you provide
No login required. The App does not require registration or an account.
You may provide information in the following situations:
Support communications
If you contact us, you may provide your email address and the content of your message. We use this information to respond and provide support.
Local media you choose to use for casting (stored on your device)
The App may allow you to select photos, videos, or other files from your device in order to cast them. This content is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
When you start casting, the content may be transmitted directly to the device(s) you choose (for example, a TV) via your local network or other connection method you initiate.
2.2 Automatically processed data
When you use the App, certain information about your device and how you use the App may be processed automatically. We process this information based on our legitimate interest in operating, maintaining, improving, and securing the App and providing a better user experience.
We use Firebase for analytics and/or diagnostics (such as stability and performance information). Depending on platform and configuration, Firebase may process data such as:
device type (e.g., model), operating system version, and language/locale
app usage information (e.g., which features are used and how often)
performance and diagnostic information (e.g., crash reports, error signals, and related technical details)
approximate location derived from IP address (where available)
Marketing measurement / attribution (install campaigns only):
We may measure the effectiveness of our user acquisition campaigns (for example, Google Ads and Apple Ads) by using analytics and attribution reporting. This helps us understand which campaigns lead to installs and how the App performs after installation. We are not running retargeting campaigns.
Automatic processing typically starts when you begin using the App.
2.3 App permissions and device connections (casting-specific)
To provide casting functionality, the App may request certain permissions depending on your device and operating system settings, such as:
Local network access (device discovery and connection): used to discover and connect to devices on your network for casting/control functionality.
Photos/media/file access: used only to allow you to choose local content for casting.
We do not upload your selected media content to our servers. Casting is initiated by you and typically involves transmitting content to the device you choose.
2.4 Why we process your personal data
We process personal data for the following purposes:
(a) Providing the service
To operate the App and deliver the features you request (including device discovery and casting).
(b) Communicating with you
To respond to your support requests and send important service-related notices (for example, policy updates).
(c) Safety, security, and compliance
To prevent, detect, and investigate fraud, security incidents, and potentially prohibited or illegal activities, and to enforce our Terms of Use.
(d) Improving and optimizing the App
To understand usage trends, identify technical issues, and improve performance, reliability, and user experience (for example, through analytics and crash diagnostics).
(e) Marketing measurement (attribution for installs)
To measure and understand the performance of our user acquisition campaigns (for example, Google Ads and Apple Ads), such as which campaigns result in installs and aggregated app usage trends after installation. We are not running retargeting campaigns.
If we start processing personal data for new purposes, we will update this Privacy Policy before those changes apply.
2.5 Legal bases (where applicable)
Depending on your location and applicable law, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
Performance of a contract (to provide App features you request)
Legitimate interests (to operate, improve, secure, and measure the App)
Consent (where required, for example for certain permissions or optional data collection settings)
Legal obligations (where we must comply with laws and regulations)
3.1 Third parties
We do not rent or sell your personal data.
We may share limited information with service providers who help us operate and improve the App. This currently includes Firebase (analytics/diagnostics).
We may also receive campaign performance and attribution reports from advertising platforms we use for user acquisition (such as Google Ads and Apple Ads). These reports help us measure installs and campaign performance. We are not running retargeting campaigns.
We may also disclose personal data if:
required by law;
we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request; or
we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our assets (in which case we will provide notice of changes and any choices you may have).
3.2 International data transfers
We are based in Israel and offer the App to users internationally. Our service providers (such as Firebase) may process data on servers located in different countries. As a result, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home jurisdiction.
By using the App, you understand that your data may be transferred internationally as described in this section. Where required, we take reasonable steps designed to support appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
3.3 Duration of personal data usage
We keep personal data for as long as necessary to:
provide and maintain the App and fulfill our agreement with you; and
comply with legal obligations.
You may request deletion of personal data that we store and have access to (see Section IV). In some cases, we may retain certain information longer where necessary for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, and maintaining backup integrity.
4.1 Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request:
Access: receive a copy of personal data we hold about you.
Correction: correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
Restriction / objection: restrict or object to certain processing in specific circumstances.
Deletion: request deletion of personal data we hold about you, where applicable.
Portability: receive certain data in a portable format (where applicable).

Notes:
Some data may be processed by third-party services (for example, Firebase). You may also have controls available via device settings (such as resetting identifiers or restricting analytics where supported by your OS).
Media you select for casting remains on your device unless you choose to transmit it to another device by casting.
4.2 Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, considering the risks and the nature of the data.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we work to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security breach compromises your personal data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
4.3 Information relating to children
TV Cast is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
If you believe we might have personal data from or about a child under 13, please contact us at support@calify-ai.com, and we will take appropriate steps to delete such data where required.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or services. When we post changes, we will update the Effective date above. Continued use of the App after the updated date constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
